Quick Tips and Techniques

Jump into Action NOW: This is a good tip for overcoming procrastination. You just have to start. You only have to start any task you were putting off and within five to ten minutes it becomes so easy to continue and complete. Just say in your mind “Jump into Action NOW” several times and do it.


Ask mind the right questions: Instead of telling your mind “Be Happy”, ask “Give me the reasons to be happy”. Mind WILL find the answers for you. Ask your mind “find and give me a business idea”. Be vigilant. Ideas will come.


Music or music & mix: Listen to your favorite music collection while reading an empowering book or articles. When you listen to the same music again your mind will be energized.


Affirmations: Positive affirmations help you get the desired outcome. Affirm with intensity on the qualities you want to exude. Ex: “All the power is within me. I can do anything I set my mind to.” For specific affirmations on different areas, please visit BeingLive.com/members/affirmations.aspx


Motion controls emotion: If you are feeling low or bored, try rapid physical movements. They can get you out of current state of mind and put you in a positive state of mind.


Pain and pleasure: Feel the pain of not doing the planned goal, feel the pain of indulging in a distraction. Feel the pleasure you get with the end result of the planned goal, imagine how good you feel about it. This helps your will to get into action and arrive at the end result quickly.


Memory magic: You have read the books, learned the techniques or know the solutions. Sometimes, the problem is not being able to recall one of them at the right moment. This technique helps you to keep a mental organizer and to recall a solution or a positive note quickly. Pick and imagine 6 to 10 funny characters from your favorite comedy serial or a movie in an order. Pick 6 to 10 of your goals to be achieved, or tasks to be completed, or techniques to be used, or things to be remembered. Now, assign each of the goal or task to a character. Vividly associate between the character and the task through the character’s dress, words or actions. Run this exercise in your mind on a regular basis and it will become handy.


Alter ego: Can be used when you are facing obstacles. Do you have a childhood hero? Or imagine a real or imaginary person who you admire. Now, imagine your hero overcoming those obstacles one step at a time. Next, imagine you are overcoming the obstacles in the same way. (Caution: know the right balance)
